Living in Millstone Ridge

A quiet neighborhood

Millstone Ridge is a community of 99 homes conveniently located off Highway 51 in Matthews, North Carolina. The community is near shopping, dining, and entertainment areas. We also have easy access to Independence Blvd and Interstate 485. Our quiet streets are great for walking, biking, and meeting friendly neighbors. The community has a pool for residents' enjoyment during the summer months.

There will be no solid waste services (trash, recycling, or yard waste) on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. For the remainder of each affected week, service will occur one day later.

Town of Matthews

The Town of Matthews is located in Mecklenburg County, about 10 miles southeast of downtown Charlotte. Matthews covers 17.18 square miles and is comprised of single-family housing and a variety of businesses. A quaint downtown, attractive neighborhoods, churches, quality schools, and outstanding hospital and medical facilities make for a full-service community. The population is approximately 30,934 (estimated 2023). People feel safe and secure in Matthews. The streets exude small-town charm, and small parks and natural areas dot the community. The town strives to maintain a healthy balance of quality residential development and compatible commercial development, making it a desirable place to live.

New Management Services provider information:

Effective April 30, 2026, Hawthorne Management (HM) is no longer the management service provider for the Millstone Ridge community.

If you currently have the HM app installed on your phone, we recommend uninstalling it to avoid any confusion regarding payments.


The BOD has selected Community Association Management Services (CAMS) as the new service provider for accounting, vendor relations, community inspections, violation resolution, ARC compliance, payment processing, and other essential services.

On May 1, 2026, CAMS sent an introduction email with details on how to access the new homeowner portal, where you will be able to pay your dues and set up your preferred payment method.

We have updated the millstoneridge.org website with a Payment button that links to the CAMS Payment Portal, in case you did not receive the introduction message or need a reminder in the future.

Neighborhood Watch Program:

The Matthews Police Department is offering a free informational meeting to all Matthews neighborhoods to set up a Neighborhood Watch Program or re-energize your existing one! This meeting will be held at the Matthews Town Hall located at 232 Matthews Station Street Matthews, NC 28105, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Management Company Transition:

We are writing to announce that our community is transitioning to a new management company.

Key Changes:

* Old Management: Hawthorne Management
* New Management: CAMS (Community Association Management Services)

What you need to know:

If you currently have a pending payment or were about to submit one, please hold off until the transition is officially complete. This will ensure your funds are properly credited to the new system without any delays.

Next Steps:

Keep an eye out for a follow-up notice soon. We will be providing you with updated information regarding:

* New payment methods.
* Mailing address for dues.
* The management’s web portal.

Pool Access

For your security, do not open the pool gate for strangers, even if they claim to be members of this community.

Access to the pool area is controlled by a security system based on identification cards. These cards are about the size of a conventional credit card. Each card contains a microchip with a unique identification number linked to your house address. A card reader is located to the right side of the pool gate lock. To access the pool area, touch the card reader with your card. Please use the contact form to inquire for more information or request a new card.

Important: Replacement cards will be subject to a fee. Activation of your access card may take up to 72 hours.
