Spring 2022 News:
Happy Spring!
There are two Covenant changes that will be voted on by the community this Spring. The first is the rental cap and rules, and the second is guidance on Solar Panels. In a few weeks, the board will setup a station at the pool common area that will allow neighbors to visit and formally vote for or against the changes. If you are interested in learning more about either of these, please send me an email at bgrebmi(at)gmail.com.
The board also continues to mull the possibility of changing management companies. Hawthorne has been very weak with assisting us in enforcing Covenant violations and we have some violations that have lasted for more than 2 years without resolution. However, our current company is a very low-cost service, and changes to management could significantly increase dues. We will have some information available for discussion later this Spring.
The pool will open on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. From 10am-2pm on the same day, we will be having a workday at the pool to powerwash, paint, and do some small repairs. If you are interested in helping with this work, please email me at bgrebmi(at)gmail.com and I will assign you to a team.
Google Fiber is being installed throughout our neighborhood. There has been no communication to the board about this from Google, but none was expected. Please visit the Google Fiber Webpage with any questions.

Fall Update 2021:
It’s the time of the year for the Fall Update on our community, I hope you are all happy and healthy!
Pool Update
The pool will close for the season at 10 PM, Sunday, Sept 26th. I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy it this year. We are hoping to update some lighting in the restrooms during the offseason. We just did some plumbing repairs to the pool house which should save us on water bills.
Annual Meeting
We have not set a date for our Annual HOA Meeting. Hawthorne Management has been working to set this date but has not yet secured a meeting place. We hope to update the community on this soon.
Common Area Landscaping
Our long-time landscaper had to shut down their operation due to a shortage of workers. Fortunately for us, the board conducted an RFP last Fall and had several quotes for replacement. The cost is slightly higher, but I am expecting an improved value delivery. The new company is Baytree and their service will begin Sept 1st 2021.
Neighborhood Yard Sale
Our Annual Yard Sale is scheduled for Saturday, October 23rd from 6AM-1PM.
Fall Festival/Social
At this time, there are no plans to re-instate our Fall Social due to health risks. The interest was always low during the pre-COVID times, so we don’t want to use community funds for an event that would not be widely attended. We miss everyone and look forward to some time in the future where our families can gather safely.
Thank you for your time today and please keep working to stay healthy.
